Pretty in Pink

31 August 2016

Anybody who knows me knows that my favourite colour has always been, and always will be, PINK! I recently repainted my bedroom grey - I felt that after 23 years of pink, it was time for change - and it's probably the worst decision of my life. Who would want a bedroom that isn't pink? Not me.

A lot of things in my life have been, or are, pink - my hair, nails, clothes, shoes, perfume, make-up, and the list goes on! I thought it would be a nice idea to share my favourite pink items of summer 16!

Vivienne Westwood Rococo Watch - A MUST for all Vivienne Westwood lovers! I love this watch, it was a gift for my 21st birthday. Unfortunately, it isn't an everyday watch as the strap is quite flimsy (I had to have it replaced after around 6 months).

Pandora Pink Enamel Twist Ring - This was another gift for my 21st birthday (do we see a theme here?). It's super cute and fairly inexpensive for Pandora.

Marc Jacobs Daisy - Everybody loves Marc Jacobs perfumes - you'd be crazy not to! The amazing scents and even more amazing bottles! I kind of splurged on this perfume because of the bottle, it was limited edition and smells amazing. It's my go-to scent most days! Although I don't think this exact scent is still available, I've linked a really similar one in an even better bottle!

H&M Bomber Jacket - I've been toying with the idea of getting a bomber jacket for a while now. So, when I saw this blush beauty in H&M I didn't give it a second though! It's so cute - a perfect shade of blush pink! It's a little poofy but I can live with that!

NARS Orgasm - Let's face it, everybody who loves make-up owns this blush! I recently re-discovered this blush. For so long my go-to was Hourglass Mood Exposure but since I picked up this blush a few weeks ago I haven't put it down!

MAC Mehr and Pink Plaid - I don't think I actually own a lipstick without a matte finish - I can't stand the sticky feeling of gloss! If I ever want a pop of colour MAC Mehr is usually my first choice- it's a nice flash of colour without being too in your face. I don't reach for Pink Plaid as often as Mehr as it doesn't suit me as much but it's such a cute pastel colour. I'd recommend it to any pink lovers!

Essie Stones N' Roses, Barry M Festival Fever, Glitterati Starlet, Ballerina, and Topshop Marshmallow - I could probably be here all day writing about different shades of pink nail varnish, but I've managed to limit it to my fab 5! If you want some extra sparkle the Barry M Gliterati Starlet is definitely for you! Essie Stone N' Roses is the perfect coral shade and paired with Topshop's Marshmallow - it looks just like NARS' Orgasm blush! Barry M's Ballerina is the cutest blush shade that will pair perfectly with my new bomb bomber jacket! And finally, the limited edition Superdrug Barry M shade - Festival Fever, perfect for a pop of colour!

Yankee Candle Summer Scoop - When I smelt this candle I knew I HAD to have it! Seriously, it's amazing! It smells just like berry ice cream, and who doesn't love ice cream?

I could go on all day about my pink picks - but for now, this is where I end!

Clay Your Way!

27 August 2016

A while ago I signed up to BzzAgent - a product testing site, you have to fill out questionnaires about yourself and when a campaign that fits your interest  comes up you can opt in to it or not. When they emailed me about L'oreal Clay Face Masks I couldn't opt in quick enough!

So, when I received the face masks in the mail I was so excited! Each one comes in a small glass pot with a metallic green lid - not like the cheap 99p masks I used to get that came in a foil packet! They aren't the cheapest products - retailing around £8 - but you get A LOT of product in each one, so it's completely worth it.

Detox Mask (black) - This was my personal favourite. It's designed to draw out impurities and deep cleanse pores to leave you skin silky smooth. And let me tell you, it works! My skin was super soft after using this and it really helped to draw out any impurities.

Purity Mask (Green) - I think this one, even though not my personal favourite, could possibly do wonders for my skin! Combined with eucalyptus which is known for having purifying properties it helps to draw out any impurities whilst leaving you skin matte and oil free. I have super oily skin so if I give this another try it could soon swoop into first place as my favourite!

Glow Mask (Orange) - Personally, this is my least favourite, purely because it's the only exfoliating of the three. It's designed to exfoliate and tone the skin's surface. If you're in to exfoliating products then I'm sure this will be the mask for you. I, however, am not really an exfoliating mask kinda girl. So this has gone to the bottom of the pile for me!

The weirdest part is taking the masks off. I was a little disappointed to find that they didn't dry on my face so that I could peel them off like a second skin! Instead you just use warm water to remove them. This is easier said than done! I found that they didn't just wash off because they had solidified slightly whilst wearing so when you add water they turn back to liquid. But not just like a face wash that will wash away with a couple of sprays of water! I'd recommend using a face towel - preferably one that isn't a favourite incase they stain!

Overall, I'd DEFINITELY recommend these! A perfect treat if you're looking for a relaxing pamper session!
